Born in Ubud, 1962. Graduated in economic and management major from a college at Surabaya .

He tried to work as an office employee, but he couldn't stand, so he decided to become painter. His parents were art-worker and active at his Banjar ( Balinese Village ). Started creating statue when he was a child and work for some famous sculptors, to supply him self with art sensitivity. He learn painting autodidactic, and then studied under several teachers, Bagong Kussudiardja included.
